Terms of Service

Last updated: April 25, 2026

The service

Vamoz is a group trip planning web application. We help groups organize trips together: voting, money pooling via Stripe, expense splitting, booking task assignment, and post-trip settlement.

Beta status

Vamoz is in beta. Features may change. We aim to give 30 days notice before any breaking change to a paid feature you're actively using.

Money handling

Payments via the Stripe trip pool are held in escrow on the trip organizer's connected Stripe account. Vamoz is not a bank, money transmitter, or fiduciary. The organizer is responsible for trip funds. Vamoz takes a 1.5% platform fee on pool top-ups.

For non-Stripe payment methods (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, cash), Vamoz only tracks ledger entries. Money never flows through Vamoz. Refunds and disputes are between the trip members.

Acceptable use

Don't use Vamoz for fraud, money laundering, illegal activities, or anything that violates Stripe's acceptable use policies. We can suspend or terminate accounts that do.

Liability

Vamoz is provided "as is" without warranty. We're not liable for cancelled trips, lost bookings, missed flights, group disputes, or anything else outside the software itself.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA. Any disputes will be handled in California courts.
