Accessibility

Last updated: April 25, 2026

Vamoz is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility standards. Group trips include people of every ability. The app should too.

What we do

  • Color contrast: all text meets 4.5:1 minimum, large text meets 3:1.
  • Keyboard navigation: every interactive element is keyboard reachable with visible focus rings.
  • Screen reader support: semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and live regions for dynamic updates (vote tallies, payment confirmations).
  • Reduced motion: animations respect prefers-reduced-motion.
  • Form labels: every input has an associated label.
  • Focus management: modals trap focus, dismiss with Escape, restore focus on close.

Known limitations

  • The display headings use a tight Inter weight (not a hand-drawn font) for clarity and readability at every size.
  • The mobile bottom tab bar is fixed at 60px height; we're evaluating accessibility of this pattern with screen reader users.
